The Illinois CPA Society is pleased to provide $77,000 in scholarships to 36 accounting students as part of the Society’s Accounting Scholarship Program. Supported by contributions to the CPA Endowment Fund of Illinois, the Scholarship Program recognizes accounting students at Illinois colleges and universities who demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership qualities, and financial need.

Annually, the Fund contributes approximately $200,000 toward scholarships as well as outreach programs for more than 170 diverse and deserving accounting students across the state. In addition to these scholarships, initiatives such as the Society’s Jumpstart to Accounting Program and CPA Exam Award Program make it possible for students and CPA candidates to transition into the profession, through enhancing their business skills and paying for their CPA exam fees.

“It’s a proud honor to support such an impressive group of students determined to succeed as future leaders in the accounting profession,” said Todd Shapiro, President and CEO of the Illinois CPA Society. “The scholarships wouldn’t be possible without generous support from our donors who help eliminate financial barriers so these recipients may achieve their goals.”
